John Sanborn lives in New York. He studied Film at an university and started with viodeos in 1976. With his former partner Kit Fitzgerald he got famous as video artist since 1977. Between 1977 and 1984 he worked on the Television Labratory at WNET/13. His style has always a high-tech look, which was made possible trough his work with Dean Winkler who works in the digital high-tech industry. He works for artist from Philip Glass to Grace Jones. His artistic works are influenced by his music video works. He often works with Kit Fitzgerald, Dean Winkler, Robert Ashley, Mary Perillo, Twyla Tharpe, Philip Glass, and with the New York club Danceteria, the art gallery Electronic Arts Intermix and The Kitchen. He often adapts the TV technology and often uses this medium.

Mary Perillo started at the TV Broadcasting Station Cable Network in 1979 and works since 1982 as independent artist in product and industry advertising. In 1983 she got assistant to John Sandborn. Their first common work was the video for Robert Ashleys Opera 'Perfect Lives'(1983). Since then Perillo produces all of Sandborn works - music videos as well.
