... is one of the most successful rock-promo directors. His career began with 14 years by making films on Super-8. Later he became an independent cutter for documantarys and shorts and for the production of experimental films. In 1972 and 1973 he got awards at the Sidney Film Festival for 'Contrived Mindflashes' and 'Delicious Dreams to Survive Depression'. Then he co-founded with Graham Webb a company for the production of rock-promos. In 1976 he went to London for a couple of weeks. Later he worked as independent director for productions of Jon Roseman till he founded MGM and later MGMM toghether with Lexi Godfrey and David Mallet in London. His style isthat he makes a kind of short movies as videos. All of his works are influenced by fashion-photographs, very stylish, sexy and chic. Some of his works arevideos for Duran Duran and the classic 'Video Killed The Radio Star' by The Buggles. Exactly this one got famous because MTV New York broadcasted it as first video in the night of the 1st of August in 1979. Other famous works are the videos 'Allentown' and 'Pressure' by Billy Joel, 'Bette Davis Eyes' by Kim Carnes, Elton Johnīs 'Iīm Still Standing' and 'Eltonīs Song'. These videos were honored in 1982 with a special award of the british Acedemy of Film and Television. His works for the band The Tubes are quite unusual. Later he produced the horror-movie 'Razorback'(1984) which was set in Australia and was about pigs - a disaster. But in 1986 he made the blockbuster-movie 'Highlander'.
